Visit Piran, one of the Mediterranean’s best-preserved towns and enjoy a coastal retreat on the Adriatic Sea. Discover the small town’s charm as you meander through its narrow streets and its main thoroughfare, Tartini Square. Azure waters, red tile roofs, and cliffs covered in lush greenery combine perfectly in Piran to create a coastal delight.
Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Slovenia’s landscape throughout this small group tour. From bike riding on the shore of Lake Bohinj to hiking through the Vrata Valley, make the most of Slovenia’s lush greenery, crystal clear waters, and alpine fresh air.
Head underground and discover the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Skocjan Caves. Explore its limestone rock formations, waterfalls and more during a tour of the incredible cave system and learn about this natural phenomenon and how it came to be.
Welcome to Slovenia and its charming capital city Ljubljana. It’s easy to see why the city is becoming an increasingly popular destination in Europe, with its elegant buildings, tree-lined streets and charming atmosphere.
We arrive in Ljubljana and check into our hotel before meeting our fellow travelers and small group tour leader for a welcome dinner at a local restaurant.

We enjoy a day of touring in Ljubljana today. After breakfast, we set out on a walking tour of the city and get acquainted with the city as we walk its streets and visit its main attractions. We discover the Baroque-style Old Town, see Robba’s Fountain, visit Congress Square and explore the city’s open-air market. We take our taste buds on a journey throughout the walking tour, sampling some of Ljubljana’s best produce along the way.
In the afternoon we take to the Ljubljana River and enjoy a boat ride along the river, giving us a unique viewpoint of the city. Next, it’s on to the incredible Ljubljana Castle. We ride the funicular up the hill to the castle that has been overlooking the city for 900 years. Here, we learn about the castle’s history and enjoy unparalleled views out over Ljubljana.
The remainder of our afternoon and evening is at leisure to explore more of the city.

With its serene, sapphire-toned lake, charming villages and alpine fresh air, Bled enchants all who make their way here.
Our day is full of adventure as we visit Lake Bohinj. The Julian Alps provide a stunning backdrop to the crystal-clear waters and lush greenery of Lake Bohinj, which is ours to explore this morning. We enjoy a cycle between the towns of Ribcev Laz and Ukanc before walking to the Savica Waterfall. We cycle back to Ribcev Laz and take a cable car up to Mount Vogel for breathtaking views across the region. We enjoy free time atop Mount Vogel for lunch before making our way back down the mountain and on to Bled.
We visit Bled Castle this afternoon. Built in approximately 1011 on a cliff that lines the banks of Lake Bled, we learn about the history of the castle and enjoy sweeping views across the lake.
We enjoy the remainder of our evening at leisure.

Get ready for many wow moments today as we witness some of Mother Nature’s finest work. After breakfast we make our way to Vintgar Gorge. Meandering through tall rock formations, we walk through the gorge on its boardwalks admiring the waterfalls, rivers, plants and natural beauty. Next, we make our way to the heart of the Julian Alps – the stunning Vrata Valley. Here, we visit the Pericnik Waterfall before enjoying a hike through the valley to Aljazev Dom, a mountain hut with views of Mount Triglav (Slovenia’s highest peak). We enjoy free time for lunch before returning to Bled to enjoy the remainder of our day at leisure.

Located on a horse-shoe bend of the Krka River, the charming town of Novo Mesto is our destination today. It’s tranquil location, charming cobblestone streets, and quaint size makes it an ideal town to visit.
We leave Bled after breakfast this morning. En-route, we stop at Kostanjevica na Krki and Otocec River Castle before arriving in Novo Mesto where we embark on sightseeing in the town, strolling through its streets and getting acquainted with this picturesque town.
We enjoy a scenic cruise along the Krka River this afternoon where we gain insight into the history of Novo Mesto. We pass under the four bridges of the river, pass by the sights of the town and enjoy a wine tasting while on board the raft. Our cruise also allows us to learn about this unique destination as our captain guides us through the history of Novo Mesto.
We enjoy the remainder of our afternoon at leisure before meeting up with our group for dinner together at a local restaurant.

We say goodbye to the river and say hello to the ocean today as we make our way to the coastal city of Piran, located on Slovenia’s Adriatic coast. The city oozes charm, as narrow streets lead you through the picturesque buildings and out to the coast. One of the best-preserved towns in the Mediterranean, Piran is one of the many jewels in Slovenia’s crown.
En route to Piran, we stop and visit the Skrilj Bunker. Built in the 1950s, the underground bunker served as a place of safety for Slovenia’s elite in case of nuclear war. We leave our cameras behind and tour the mysterious bunker, uncovering its secrets along the way.
We continue to Ribnica where we enjoy free time for lunch before making our way to the Skocjan Caves. We tour the incredible limestone cave system, recognized on the UNESCO World Heritage List, and discover its rock formations, waterfalls and collapsed dolines. We arrive in Piran in the early evening and enjoy the evening at our leisure.

After breakfast this morning we enjoy sightseeing of Piran before making our way to Secovlje. Here, we visit the Secovlje Salina Nature Park where we explore the salt pans of Secovlje and learn about their history and the production of salt that still happens here today.
Next, we travel to a local farm for a chance to connect with the local farmers. We exchange stories and hear of farming life in this part of Slovenia as we enjoy a tasting of locally made wine and olive oil.
We arrive back in Piran in the afternoon to explore the town further before enjoying a group farewell dinner this evening at a local restaurant.

Our tour concludes this morning when we arrive back in Ljubljana after breakfast this morning. We say goodbye to our new friends and to incredible Slovenia.
