Day 1

Delhi: Welcome to India

Welcome to the colourful country of India. A bustling and energetic mix of busy cities, tranquil landscapes, incredible architecture and tradition, the country is one of a kind.

Our small group tour begins in the country’s capital, Delhi when we enjoy a welcome dinner with our small group tour leader and fellow travellers this evening. 

Day 2


Welcome to Delhi. The city is colourfully chaotic with rickshaws, cars and pedestrians filling the city streets that are lined with bustling markets, street vendors and more. Steeped in history, ancient monuments and traditional architecture are dotted throughout the city, making Delhi a diverse and fascinating city to explore.

We begin our day with a tour around the city. First, we experience New Delhi, taking in the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Qutub Minar and Humayun’s Tomb, before driving past Rashtrapati Bhawan, the official home of the President of India, and the India Gate, a memorial to Indian soldiers who lost their lives in WW1.

After lunch our tour continues to Old Delhi, where we explore Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India, In the heart of Old Delhi lies one of the city’s busiest shopping areas, Chandni Chowk. Here, we enjoy a rickshaw ride through the bustling streets that are lined with shops selling the likes of jewellery, spices, saris and more.

Indulge your palate this evening on a food walking tour of Old Delhi. There are so many Indian delicacies to try, from samosas to chaat and sweet desserts like jalebi.

Day 3

Delhi to Agra

Home to the famous Taj Mahal, Agra is an enticing city for travellers wishing to see the iconic monument. But the city that lines the banks of the Yamuna River has more to offer than just the incredible Taj Mahal.

We travel to Agra after breakfast this morning and visit Agra Fort this afternoon. Dating back to 1565 when construction of the fort began, Agra Fort has played a pivotal role in India’s history. We stroll through the fort’s expansive courtyards, appreciating the intricate architecture and gaining insight into the fort that was the residence of the emperors of the Mughal Dynasty until 1638.

Day 4

Agra to Karauli

We rise before the sun today and make our way to the Taj Mahal, arriving in time to witness the incredible structure at sunrise. Built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan between 1631 and 1648 in memory of his favourite wife, the Taj Mahal is one of India’s most iconic and magical places. We enjoy a tour of the Taj Mahal, exploring its white marble walls and learning about its rich history.

Next, we journey to Karauli. En route we visit the Fatehpur Sikri Ghost Town, a former capital of the Mughal empire before enjoying lunch in Bharatpur. In Karauli we visit the City Palace before enjoying an Aarti Ceremony at Madan Mohan Temple.

Day 5

Karauli to Ranthambore National Park

We journey into the jungle this morning when we travel to Ranthambore National Park. Home to majestic wild tigers, the 10th century Ranthambore Fort, lush greenery and lakes, the park is a jungle oasis. We enjoy our first game drive through the park this afternoon, spotting the incredible predators in their natural habitat. Returning to the hotel in the evening, we enjoy dinner together before retiring to our rooms.

Please note: All Safari game drives in Ranthambore National Park are conducted in shared Canter Safari vehicles.

Day 6

Ranthambore National Park

Embark on safari drives through Ranthambore National Park today where we have the chance to spot tigers, leopards, deer, wild boars and a variety of birds and so much more. We set out on an early morning game drive and return to our lodge for breakfast before enjoying a chance to relax at our lodge. After lunch we head out on our afternoon game drive before returning for dinner.

Day 7

Ranthambore National Park to Jaipur

Ranthambore has one last game drive in store for us this morning. We swap the jungle for the city when we make our way to Jaipur, the largest city of the state of Rajasthan and home to a myriad of former royal palaces.

Special Experience

This evening we get a real taste of Indian culture as we enjoy a screening of a Bollywood movie at the ornate and decadent Raj Mandir Cinema.

Day 8


We embark on a day of exploring all that Jaipur has to offer today. We begin at Amber Fort and explore the expansive complex – its yellow and pink sandstone, white marble and intricate details. Next, it’s on to India’s most preserved historic observatories, the Jantar Mantar Observatory. We wander the stone structures and the grounds and see the world’s largest stone sundial. We also visit the City Palace Complex in the centre of the Old City. We explore its palatial buildings, courtyards and gardens, learning about the history of the complex which dates back to the 18th century.

Day 9

Jaipur to Delhi

We make our way back to Delhi after breakfast today. We enjoy time at leisure back in Delhi before a group farewell dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 10

Depart Delhi

Our tour concludes after breakfast this morning. We say goodbye to our newfound friends and to the bustling delights of India’s golden circle.
